Open Access Statement and Copyright Policy

Open access statement

The Medical Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies is a fully open access journal. All articles are made freely available to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text immediately upon publication, without embargo, subscription or registration, and without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Readers are never charged for access to any article published in the journal.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) – https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. Under this licence anyone may share (copy and redistribute in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform and build upon) the work for any purpose, including commercially, provided that:

  • appropriate credit is given to the original authors and to the journal as the original source, with the DOI;
  • a link to the licence is provided; and
  • any changes made are indicated.

The licence is shown on every article page, on the first page of every PDF, and in the article metadata deposited with Crossref.

Copyright

Authors retain the copyright of their work without restrictions. By publishing in MJMS, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to distribute the work under the licence above. The copyright line on each article reads: "© (year of publication) The Author(s)."

Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published version (for example, posting it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its first publication in this journal.

Authors may deposit the preprint, the accepted manuscript and the published version in any repository or on any website at any time, with no embargo (see the Archives Policy).

Third-party material

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse any figures, tables or text that have been published elsewhere, and must credit the source in the article. Third-party material that is not covered by the CC BY licence must be clearly identified.
